| Direct Cool Hoe | ...OK pimps, AMD prices are dropping to damm near cheap as dinner for two. I figured it was time to let out all the stops. Post em' here. Your highest clock, from what CPU, Mobo, FSB,multiplier ,voltage, cooling etc. etc. ![]() 2500 barton,fsb180 x 13.5 @ 2460mhz EPoX 8K9A2+/1.90V core/2.80Vdimm CXM256aX2700c2 h2o/dd1/250gph@79.5degF. ![]() Last edited by ZENNZZO; 24-April-03 at 05:17 PM.. | |

| I'll give you all an easy target to beat... 2075MHz 2100+ "B" A7N8X Non-deluxe (Bollocks, now the Deluxe is only 10 bones more at newegg...) 166*12.5, 1.60Volts Home made cardboard duct, SK7 (I love these things) I fiddled with the voltage a lil bit, but I'm newish to this, didn't have much success, the 1.60V is stock... Something ran out of headroom... | ||

| Hmmmm, a tinkering I will go.... Gonna have to find some better case fans to feed my duct and then play with the voltages some more. I have the 2 back case fans blowing together thru a duct directed directly into the SK-7, no dead spot, great airflow, and it's nice and quiet... And I'm guessing yer gonna tell me thet Crucial 2700 isn't known to be a good overclocking setup, but it'll have to do till I become substantially richer LOL Anyhow, let's see some more O/C results... | ||

| I can run @ 166*11 quite easily but my temps are so high that my motherboard shuts it down after being on for 30-45 minutes. I have serious heat problems that need to be solved before I overclock substantially. 166*10.5 (1.75ghz) is what I am at right now. That's an overclock of 230mhz, which isn't half bad. I am running at a vcore of 1.575 at the moment. Highest I ever posted and run stabilly was 175*11 (1.93ghz), with a vcore of 1.6volts, but as before my mobo shut me down again, but this time in less than 15-20 minutes. I will get a full sized tower at some point in time, aswell as one of them brandnew SLK-900U's because I found one for a very good price right here in town. FINALLY!!! ![]() EDIT: Apparently I may have a problem called "Metal Migration" according to Fu3l. He insists that it can't remove heat enough from the die to the heatsink and therefore thats creating little bubbles of silicon, and pretty much in short; my processor is on a short road to death. Anyone have anything to add to this theory? | ||

| Dayam man, 500+ thats....whoa..... barton 2500+ @ 1.973ghz 175 fsb gigabyte ga-vaxp VOLCANO 7....... 1x512 cas2 Mushkin pc2700 it runs at 130F....which is terrible, due to V7(not the plus) and i know its not much of an OC, i havnt tryed to push it any further, and i havnt messed with the Voltage any, but i am soon to order an sk7, when that gets here, i will post my max happy clocking ![]() | ||

| Gotta luv that 2100+ for it's overclocking potential. No wonder it's a favorite among tweakers. Just played with my 2600+/333. 2505.6, up from 2079.6 for a total of 426 Mhz overclock. I hit a hard wall after that. I do like this Abit NF7-S rev. 2. Processor topped out well before it did. Not too shabby. That's 15@166 or 14@179. My rams holding me back on the big fsb overclock. | ||

| i cool with a thermaltake Volcano 7 (not the 7+) right now, my 2500+ runs at like 123 idle (not oc). when i get my sk7 (woot) ima do some nice OCing im going to take the variable fan off my V7 and put it ontop of the sk7, then im going to buy a smart fan II and replace the variable fan, ![]() | ||

| If you go over to Overclockers.com website and check their CPU data base, you will see much higher OCs on the XP2100+, but most are on NF2 boards and are not limited on the PCI / AGP bus as I am. I was on an SLK-800 with a Smartfan2 originally when I set that OC, but I am at home running a Rev3, Maxxpert rad, Ehiem1048, Tank-O-Matic Res, and sometimes my chiller made from an 80w TEC, Maze3, Alpha PLA8045 powered by a stand alone 300W AT PSU. | ||
