Comparing AMD to P4

Yeah so I was messing around with the overclocking software that this fine establishment has under the Files tab and I noticed that it compares the AMD to the P4. How true is the software? And any tips to squeeze out a little more juice with out turning up the heat?

abit nf-7
Geil X2 256
AMD 2700+

I would have to say they are accurate as those IPS rates are static rates based on instructions per clock cycle.

It appears to be showing you what the FSB would be on a P4. At 740, that's lower than the 800 which is stock speed.

It's not really comparing anything besides IPS, and everyone knows AMD clock for clock can waste Intel because it does more IPS because of its shorter pipelines. Thats showing what the IPS would be for a P4 at 2.2ghz.

So reading what slider said am I running slower than a P4 or is that just what the numbers make me to believe? Im am just trying to get a perspective of where I stand.

You would be running faster than a P4 at the same clock speed.
