Default My first successful OC

I'm new to overclocking (always known something about it but never really tried to OC my system, I also now understand it a bit more.) With my motherboard what I can do is somewhat limited, all I can do right now is change the FSB, if I solder in a transistor I could unlock the vcore but I don't have a soldering iron, nor the transistor needed. First I just raised it fom 100 to 101 just to see if it would work, it did 1313MHz (my multiplier is 13, I can't change it.. not without any modding but I can't find anything on unlocking the multiplier.) So I tried to see if I could get it to 1500MHz stable.. well I just went by what the BIOS told me the clockspeed was, which I know now is inaccurate as 113x13<>1500. But anyways I set it to 113, teh BIOS said it was 1500MHz, didn't see the loading screen. Lowered it to 112, blue screen. Down a bit more, 111 blue screen after login, same with 110. Now it's at 109, I've tested it, it's stable.

You make me sad. So be it. Come, Patsy!

Volt Mod, Better cooling! Listen. In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second, right?

Guess it wasn't as stable as I thought, CPU burn-in didn't do anything. I had to reduce it to 1391MHz (107MHz FSB) so I could calculate 1M digits of pi. Haha 1m49s, before OC it took 1m53s.

Hah never thought anyone could have as much fun with a script as TYCOON is.

If your on a socket A processor then there are pretty simple wire tricks for changing your voltage if you don't have the option from your bios. It was what I had to do to keep my clock stable. Unofrtunatley you're temp would go up 5 degrees at idle.
