Amd 64 3000 2.4 ghz

Is 2.4 ghz a good over clock for a amd 64 3000 winchester the temps are 32 id and 37 load
and how high do you think I could OC this chip before it becomes uunstable

Heres Some 3dmark 03 scores
Amd xp old Pc 3443
New Pc Stock 6880
New Pc 1st OC 7034
New Pc 2ed OC 7173
New Pc 3rd OC 7245
New Pc 4th OC 7356

2.4GHZ is pretty average for a 3000 winny, yer doin pretty good though, temps are nice!

I have seen them reach 2.7 with good air cooling with a luck.

I bet you could easily reach 2.5-2.6 with a bump in CPU voltage

i'll be getting a 3200+ system soon winnie and all...and an MSI Neo2 Board...2.4 seems a good "average" that most people just stop at...but i've seen 2.7 24/7 on some machines...

btw what are you voltages vcore and such?

cpu volt is 1.5 but when every I move the fsb above 270 my pc will frezze at bios startup and ill have to reset the cmos any ideas fellas

Up the vcore a little bit at a time until you get it stable. Watch your temps though...

Got it to 2.5 with 35-43 temps but Im gana keep it here so I dont have to worry about it overheating because it gets hot in my house during the summer and spring

Got mine to bench at 2.82 gigs with some top air cooling.

But then I fried my mobo...so I say stay where you are at and be happy. Even at 2.5 gigs it is a very good CPU.
