oc'ed 3200+ Problems

overclocked 3200+ (2.2ghz) @2.5 ghz all i did was up the muliy to 12.5 and the vcore to 1.85 and when i play nfsu2 or hl2 it will play for a while then just exit out with no error... help?

Whats your cooling like? Do you have good temps?

MY NFSU2 exits without warning when my OC was unstable(2400), backed it down to 2300 and it was fine.

Cooling and a weak power supply are the most common causes of the issues you are having, if your load temps are above 50c, then you are probably too hot.

Try speed fan or Motherboard Monitor to check temps.

Try running Folding@home to heat your CPU up and test for stability.

If your power supply is under 400 watts and/or poor quality, it might be time for an upgrade

I was running a 3200+ at just under 2.5 and it would never run stable but at 2.4 it was fine. Now I us a 3000+ and it runs great at 2.5 and never gets hot.

AMD XP 3000+ @ 2.5GHz
nVidia GForce 6800 hacked to 16 pipelines
1Gig Geil PC3200
400 Zal PSU
Artic Cooler
120mm case fan
CPU Temp 91F-33C
