Default ok heres a real odd question?

after pricing around i have gotten the prices in canada for the NF7-S and a AMD Mobile 2500+ the board is 140.00 and the chip is 160.00 before taxes so i got things planned out to get the mobo and chip just have to save alot of $$$

but aside from that heres my real question would i be wise in passivly cooling a mobile or should i use a stock hsf on it i have a premodded case with a hole just above where the chip and HSF go but just want to know if i can passivly cool when i have it oc'd to hell and back???

You'd be wasting your money. Get some good heatsink, overclock that mofo, or get a duron.

First, those prices are too high. Should be about $130 for the board and $130 for the proc. Where are you shopping?

Secondly, you not be passively cooling a modern proc, especially one that you plan to overclock.

I never thought I'd hear the words 'passively cooled' and 'AMD' in the same sentence.

The ONLY chip you can passively cool is that crappy VIA Epia chip. Unless you like keychains...

I suppose you could passively cool it if you never turned it on...

Oh wait you can PASSively cool that chip...all you gotta do is PASS it over here to someone who isnt such an asshat. hahahaa
Or better yet why dont you just mod a garden hose into the side of your case and turn on the water.
Know your role and shut your hole...
what kind of idea was that...
god man....hahahahaha

That's still not passively cooled, unless you don't use the fan. I've been wanting to try that sink.
