The NF7-S is a good overclocking board, I would suggest a Athlon-M 2500+ if you want to overclock like a mofo.

I say either the DFI Infinity/LANparty or the ABIT NF7-S, I took a 1700 to 9x250 on my Infinity...

DFI is all right for running a high FSB, but there too flaky IMO, stick with the tried and true NF7-S rev2

Abit will never achieve the speed of the DFI. It's a proven fact. And on an AMD, memory bandwidth goes a long way.

Um.....might wanna check ur self on that one Kayin. DFI will never reach speeds of Abit

Edit: Check out the Overclockers database most boards being used are Abit NF7-S with High overclocks, there are a few DFI that are up there but for the most part Abit PWNS DFI

Any high FSB ranking will show DFI first, and Abit a distant second. There's a reason the NF7-s was created.

It was a warmup to the Infinity.

Like I said.

Im sayin for the most ghz your going to want to go with Abit. FSB goes to DFI, but there flaky.

For the record, both of our statements are correct. Because I use a lot of memorty bandwith intensive programs, it's a better choice for me. For sheer GHz, for encoding and the like, you have an excellent point.

I just don't wan this to be a pissing match. There are separate discrete applications for both boards.

And for your information, only certain BIOSes are flaky.

Actually, translated, it means...

"I have an Intel. That means I forsook AMD, who took me in and nurtured me, who taught me the ways of OC. I gave up my right to comment, because even now I cower in the corner of a laundry room, trying to pump AC into my rig, trying to recapture the feeling that my AMD gave me. I am a sad, sad man. Please pity me, and remember me when you boot your AMD rig.

I was one of you once, before I was led astray."
