Default Voltage Mods

I need to up my voltage on Vcore and Vdimm and AGP voltages. Currently I can only get Vcore up to 1.85, Vdimm to only 2.85, and AGP to 1.8. Ive seen a mod for the A7V, but I have a A7V600 mobo and that only increases Vcore. I want to increase Vdimm mostly and AGP. If I raised Vcore too much heat be comes a prob. my ram temps and AGP temps arent a prob. I have 10 fans in my case. I was wondering if anyone has modded thier board to raise these voltages.

but it is possible..its just no one has discovered how to do it yet =/. Iwas thinking however of getting my meter and measuring where I think Vdim would be, follow that path and put a resistor there.

Ive searched all over and found nothing..

and is it possible to become a OC Addict?

I doubt you'll find much on volt modding this mobo because generally people who do extreme mods buy the best overclocking gear with the most tolerance, or most bang-for-the-buck in the first place. Sadly, this motherboard is neither popluar nor top-of-the-line.

To quote Anandtech: "If your goal is top-notch Athlon performance, you should not be looking at the ASUS A7V600 or any KT600 board that we have tested."

Sorry dude. Volt modders are overclockers, and overclockers buy motherboards that overclock (except for noobs that buy Via chipsets over nForce ). You'd have to figure it all out yourself if you want to volt mod this mobo. If you don't know how to go about it....don't do it. If you want the best performance I'd sell it on ebay or return it and buy a better one.

Sometimes people buy the best they can afford. They don't need somebody to be an asshole about it.

Slider, I'm pretty sure you've seen me be an asshole before, so you should know that wasn't my intent....just stating facts.

And Nerdz will be happy to know that very good overclocking motherboards can be had in about the same pricerange as the one he currently owns, should he decide to go that route.

At the time I bought the Motherboard there was the ASUS Board with the Nforce chipset..the guy suggest I get the A7V600 because it was updated and stuff...and I wanted something with like alot of usb ports..why? I have no clue..I wanted to string a whole bunch of leds together and power them by USB. Guess that was a bad desicion...but oh well I guess...we all make mistakes..and then I was a mear n00b. I have learned and have gotten smarter. Now because of reading and research I am now known as the Overclocked Kid at school =). Everyone Comes to me for overclocking Advice. But..I keep somethings from people to leave them some research for there own..like I leave some people wondering how I got 2.4.. ( u guys can probably guess..just raise Vcore :p) but some of them are kinda n00bs..and just want to jump on the band wagon...but if they show interest and know what they are talking about..then all secrets are revealed.

Anyway..time for a change of subjects. From MoBos to AGP cards.

As you may (or may not know) I have a Geforce 4 FX 5200 By ASUS that I got for an X-Mas present (not my choice but the closest thing they could get) I was researching Volt mods for it..and luckly I looked on my card and foun the PWM chip.. Now One thing I noticed in the Data Sheet (http://www.anpec.com.tw/products/dow.../APW7045a5.pdf) it said, " The PWM chip regulates the DDR termination Voltage (1.25) or GPU Voltage (2.05)...." So does this mean it Controls the DDR and GPU Voltage? Also taken from the Data sheet, " The linear controller regulates the memory voltage (2.5v)

so does that mean my ram on the card runs at 2.5 V and the GPU Runs @ 2.05? moslty I have my AGP card voltage @1.8 volts. I have found the pin for the feedback and I followed it on the card and leads no where cept under a cap. I have thinking of going by the other FX mods and hooking up a 5k 25 turn pot from that pin to ground. The pins are extremely small and I do have expereince in SMD soldering =) But my question is will it work?

and oh yes..just a bit of a question.. would u work all your summer to earn $500 a week @16.something a hour at entry level? its a job a some company they are offering at my high. Luckly they are looking for 5 or 6 ppl and there are jobs for every trade. I'm in electronics and I think my resume is perfect and I'm looking forward to that money..already making my wish list :p I'll probably go with a mobo upgrade and then DIY watercooling =)

EDIT:; one thing I noticed is that it has 2 feedback loops..which must mean it does control Vmem and Core..sweeet...fps..here I come..

I have worked consistently ever since I was 14, so yes, I think a summer job sounds like a smashing idea!

Good luck!
