| Hey Solid and Necro can you help me out with my DFI when it comes back from RMA. I have been going nuts with this board because it is so damn sensitive. I know I have the system to do it but my board was a baby so I had to RMA it. Hell I got into windows at 250 on first try but then it pissed on itself and corrupted the bios. Hopefully I'll get a better board this next time. BTW what Bios are you guys useing? Nice job with the NF7-S Ex. Hey Bob Ihadababyitsaboy, | ||

There is a way to unlock it, it involves connecting some bridges and making the CPU think it's a Mobile CPU, wich are multiplier unlocked. Check out this thread below I started a while back. http://forums.pcapex.com/showthread....ight=unlocking You have PC2700 running at PC3200 speeds, you are most likely topped out in the RAM dept. The only way to push ram up higher is to loosen timings and add voltage, and you probably have allready done that to reach PC3200 speeds. I would suggest getting some good PC 3200 - PC3500 or better and that should get you farther. You could try using a memory divider to isolate the CPU, and see if the memory is what is holding you back. Using a 4/5 divider sould allow the CPU to run faster than the memory, and allow for a higher CPU overclock, but it won't perform as well because the memory will be running slower..it just lets you know the bottleneck (CPU or RAM) Without volt mods the NF-7 seems to top out around 440-450FSB, so unless your CPU becomes the limiting factor, you have room to go a bit higher. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
