I currently have my FSB overclocked to 400 the CPU is 2.3ghz @ 1.772v, ram is 2.6v, agp is 1.5v and the whole system is running rock solid. I'm thinking of getting some faster ram because this ram isn't gonna be good past 400fsb and I'd like to try to get more out of my cpu. Right now my cpu temp doesn't break 40c

In this article from Toms Hardware Guide they say that you should go for faster ram and that the timings don't matter so much anymore.

So not worrying about timings i'm thinking of getting one of these 2 sticks:
Kingston HyperX Series 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3700
Mushkin 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-4000
They're about the same price but the Mushkin is a little faster. However I've read that ram can run poorly when running slower than it's rated, which I probably wont try going over a 466fsb since I don't have water cooling, so i'm leaning towards the Kingston HyperX.

What I'm worried about is the fact that I have no idea how overclocking the FSB effects my video card... I have one of those giant Zalman heatsinks on it so it cools really well, but I just don't know what the higher FSB does to it, and also I don't want to be upping the voltage to it untill I slap a fan blowing directly through the side of that heatsink. I might end up buying the Zalman fan that goes on it if I don't feel like rigging one up myself.

Also my mobo is 333fsb, does that mean the if I try to put a 3200+ amd athlon xp barton 400fsb cpu in it, it would not recognize the cpu? or would it just run it at 333 default or what?

I've just recently started overclocking and I've been trying to get info from the posts around here and from reading other places also but I just cant seem to find the answers to my specific questions so any help or if you could point me toward any really informative articles, it would be great!

I'm not really a fan of Tom's Hardware for many reasons, but I have to say you have a nice looking rig there..... is it an old AT tower?

ah. I've been working on modding my AT tower.... it's a solid 2 feet tall, stripped it down to the frame and covering the whole thing in plexi.
