| Well if you can't tell I am a little pissed. I just wrote a bunch of stuff in a post and my stupid MBM shutdown my sys because temps went too high. At least it works I guess. Anyways back to my novel, this is the deal I got a new mobile XP2400+ and I just so happen to be stable at 2.66Ghz@2v on wawa. Now this is the bad, I am at 166x16. I am trying for 250+ FSB but I am waiting on my Mushkin Level !! pc3500 to arrive, so for now I am stuck with this crappy XMS3200C2 v1.2. But I know this stuff can putt along at 200 all day so I was trying to oc with a 200fsb and multi's of 10-13 and I am getting no where. Is there some sort of brigde connecting or cutting that I have to do to get this stupid chip stable in the 200+ FSB range with the higher multis. It did work at 210x8 but the prob up there is the stupid ram. Anyways help. Thanks Last edited by psychofunk; 08-April-04 at 01:35 AM.. | ||

Well, I can see why no one replied to this thread with a title like that.... Anyways... You didn't list much about your system, I saw in your profile you have an EPOX RDA, there might be a bios update or something to help the 10-13x multiplier issue, might check the forums section here or at Epox. And good luck hitting 250FSB on that board, unless you volt mod it, and even then... It also helps to list what Bios settings, especialy voltage and timings you have tried, they make huge difference, and if left in "Auto" will severly cripple your potential OC. NB Voltage and Memory voltage will need to be raised to have stability at high FSB speeds. And when u say 2.66GHZ stable..U mean surfing the net or Folding@Home stable?

| I tried to change the title but it didn't work. Anyways I added my system below. Also I more news and oddities. The 2400 is not stable at 2600 (I thought I found a quick check with SuperPi, but there is not substitute for Prime95). So as it stands I can go no where with anything above 200 (still waiting on my level 2 to show up) at 200 I think I was stable at 2.3Ghz@1.725v. At 166 I was stable to the same. Now I have it stable to 2.5 @ 2v but this is at a 133mhz fsb. That sucks and I just don't understand why this chip performs to different levels with different fsb's! That has never happend to me in the past they all just had a maxx and I had to work around that. I think it is this chip or maybe the mobo. I am going to RMA it and go with a M-XP2500+ as this is the second 2400 and they both sucked. Damn red cores!!! Come on greenish blueish/white core!!!! (throws dice). | ||

All I've ever seen from you are off-topic one liners for post count, or something close to the topic but again a useless one liner that doesn't help much. Again, /end ![]()
