| Apex Techie Wannabe | hi everybody =) im new to comps so here's the deal. i bought this rig off a friend and the problem to it is that it freezes, the monitor goes blank, or it resets. most importantly, i notice the DRAM LED light shining bright! hopefully, detailing the specs may help solve either problems. DFI LanParty UT N4SLi D4 Expert mobo 2gigs - Patriots 650watt power supp. 30gig raptor 300gig maxtor 2xSLi 7800 GTX OC 3700+ AMD athlon 64 im mostly concerned about the DRAM light. is 650 watts enough juice for all this? i really don't know =( any kind of help is VERY much appreciated! thanks much =) | |

| Apex Techie Wannabe | it freezes in windows while running some apps or games. But i adjusted the DRAM voltage to 2.8 as i saw in somebody's thread. So far so good, but i wonder for how long? Also, another question is this: I have just bought 2gigs of Kingston Hyper X's. My old patriots, which are same speed as the kingston - 3700's, are just sitting around. Can i use both pairs at once? If so, what are some potential problems if they conflict? | |

| I wouldn't worry about that light too much, its always on, even when the systemis powered down, just shows you that the ramis getting its juice... The expert is picky with memory, puting two different speeds you're gonna need to adjust to the lowest speed before throwing themin, personally i wouldn't do it at all, unless your running vista, you don't need more than 2 gigs, it doesnt nessesarily help out that much in any sort of gaming performance or anything with PC's just shortens the time it takes to open big files, which in turn would be limited by memory bandwidth... | ||
