NF7 + 2500 Barton

Hey guys,
I know its old school but I still have my NF7 and was running the 1700+ JIUHB at 2.4 until recently I decided to get a 2500+ Mobile Barton. Anyways, I have first revision of the NF7 (without SATA, not sure of the number) and when I put the chip in, it is not recognizing it and saying unknown CPU. Is there a fix for this?

BTW this chip is awsome! I didnt even boot to stock settings, went right to 1.6v 200fsb 11x. Booted first try. What numbers are you guys getting with this chip (or were, when this was in)? Its air-cooled.

Did you flash it to the latest BIOS?

And no I didnt flash it to the latest BIOS....Do you think that will fix it?

The bios update may fix it. Honestly though, as long as it boots there's no problem with it saying "unkown cpu". I had several nforce 2 boards that would just read my xp-m 2600 as "Unkown cpu 2.4ghz". It doesnt really do any harm to have it listed as unkown.

Mine's been listed as "Unknown CPU Type 2.4 Ghz" since I put it in ~2 years ago, no harm done

And yeah, bumping it up to 2.2 / 2.4ish is really easy w/ the mobile cores

i think you should flash your bios but make sure before you d/l the files for the right board nf7 , nf7-s , nf7-sv2.

I know its not doing any harm or affecting anything but I have a slight OCD problem and the little green error light on the mobo is bothering me

Whatever I guess Ill just leave it alone. Thanks for the help.
