| Apex Techie Wannabe | I installed this processor on the build I did a month ago...its normally 2.6, and I have it oc'ed to 2.925 with 13 as the multiplier. My mem (Corsair DDR2 800 is running at 417mhz per channel)..If I wanted to oc this to say, 3.2, is there anything that I should do other than up the voltage on the CPU? I have it set at 1.37 right now...the system is idle at 27 C and 100% is 42C, all air cooled. | |

| Nope..I read this thread, but did not have time to make a "Good" reply...will have to check back in tommorow. I will say this for now, to get to 3.2 and beyond, typically you need to ncrease voltages across the "Board" (lol) CPU voltage of course..as long as load temps are kept under 50c, your safe here, I have used over 1.5v+ on my E6600 at over 4GHZ with "Chillled air cooling for bench testing. Your NB voltage will need to be raised, usually you can go 1 or 2 notches above stock here without issue. Your ram voltage may also need to be raised, or you can use a ram divider and leave it as is. there may be other voltages to tweek, it just depends on your motherboard model. | ||
