Sup guys, I was inactive for a long period of time, but I'm back with a new mod.
I decided to scrap the Gateway project, I just modded it to my lowest standards, new coat of black paint, window, intake, put in an HDD cage from another case, had to mod the back I/O ports and
PSU mount, and installed all my hardware and I'm currently using it as a local file server and a Counter-Strike 1.6 server.
So, with only 4 weeks until the launch of the game Hellgate: London, I figured I would start a mod based on the game. I'm currently in the closed beta and under NDA so I can't tell you much about the game, but alot of what I already know will be incorporated into the mod. This will be my first mod that goes into more than just slapping in a window, some lights, paint, etc. I will be paying extreme attention to detail. There will be chopping, cutting, fan modding, painting, badass windows, cool lighting, water cooling, etching (hopefully), lots of interior work, built-in screens, bells and whistles, custom fan grills, etc. etc.
I was going to do a Hellgate: London themed mod a while ago but I wanted to get my hands on at least a beta build of the game for more ideas to throw around about the case mod.
It will be called "A Step Into Hell" and will be used as a DVR, and as a local file server running Linux off of a Pentium 4 3.0
GHz LGA775 processor overclocked to 3.6
GHz with 2 gigs of Corsair
RAM, an NVidia 6600 GT video card, 2 80 GB Western Digital hard drive running in RAID 0, and 2 Western Digital 250 GB hard drives, all SATA. This computer will also be used as a game server at LAN parties. Me and my friends tend to have LAN parties quite a bit, usually with 10-15 of us.
My mom still thinks that I'm somewhat retarded for buying new cases and hacking them up and modding them and crap when I have a perfectly good case here. But I don't really care because I want to mod a case, and I'm obsessed with Hellgate: London.
I'm off to NYC for the weekend and when I get back the modding will begin!
