New 3DMark06 record surpasses 27,000 points
After a less then pleasant experience at the Games Convention
OC enthusiasts Kinc and Shamino have put their experience to good use and have managed to break yet another record in Futuremark's 3DMark06. The final score set by the new uber-stressed system was
27,039 points and was achieved with a little help from a few overclocked parts.
The record-breaking system consisted of a very cool (when cooled with liquid nitrogen) QX6850 that reached 5119MHz, an ASUS Blitz Extreme motherboard, Mushkin DDR3 1333MHz memory and a Crossfire setup made out of two Asus Radeon
HD 2900 XTs clocked to 1175
MHz (core) and 950
MHz (memory). 'Proof pic', just below.
