Default Re: Vista Tweak Guide

I have one you can add.. It will allow you to take off the Manufacturer Branding in your computer properties...

1) Create a new Bitmap Image file that is 128 x 128 pixels.

2) Save the file with a name you will remember i.e. OEM.bmp.

3) Copy your new Bitmap to "C:\Windows\System32\oobe"

4) Open Regedit.exe and go to

**To get to Regedit open my computer blank out the top address bar and type regedit.exe**

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\OEMInformation]

Change (or) Add this line:
"Logo"="c:\\windows\\system32\\oobe\\OEM.bmp"

Change (or) Add this line:
"Manufacturer"="OEM Name"

5) Substitute "OEM Name" with what ever you would like the Manufacturer line to read.

6) Right-Click over "Computer" and select properties to see your work.
