More sites stock it, including dangerden, they just don't have the crappy plexi modified top. On other sites it is the DDC-12V or MCP 355. Go with the stock version....you'll save about 40 bucks and it's safer.

As for the block I'd either go with the one your friend recommended or the Apogee GTX.
