I've been trying for the last 3 hours to gain access to my NTFS volumes (windows volumes) from Ubuntu and I'm having ZERO success.

I'm getting really bummed and this guide HERE and I can't get past step 6 because it can't find ntfs-3g. Which makes me think that the update/upgrade commands aren't even finding ntfs-3g in the repos.

I have a post at the end of that thread which gives a bit more diagnostic information (what's in my sources.list file and other stuff)

Please Help.
