Default Undervolting

Been messing round with my CPU. I had it at 2.4/240fsb and it was idling at about 38. Then I OC'd to 2.6 and it started idling at 46c and hitting 66 at full-load. I was told 2.6 was a relatively easy clock so I was kinda dissapointed.

My last resort was voltage. I undervolted the CPU to 1.3v from 1.35v, and now it hits 2.64 no problem, idling at 34c and peaking atc 55 full-load. It is completely stable through a 12 hour orthos sp2004 stress test, 6 passes in memtest 86 with no errors, and a 32mb pimod. This is all on stock cooling.

Also, I actually gained a whole second in pimod @ 2.64 with the lowered voltage, than with the stock voltage @ 2.64. I mean usually you need more volts to OC, but this actually performed better with lower than stock.

I've had it to 2.75/250FSB but the temp rise isn't worth the performance increase and due to the temps I didn't get to run full stability tests, thus I think I'll be getting new cooling then seeing how much higher it'll go. I expect I'll need to raise the voltage to stock to do so

On a related note - What's the highest clock speed I can expect from a 4200+ with the best cooling? And at 2.64, what CPU speed am I equivilent too, i.e. 4800+?
