Default AAARRGGG! my wifes trans is shot

What a fun evening! 17deg. F out tonight and my wife calls and tells me her mini van won't go..?!??
Our cell phone conversation....(me)Ehr what do you mean?? (her)It goes backwards when you put it in drive. (me) Does the engine run? (her) I don't know it won't go! (I'm just messing with her at this point)
(me) go whear? (her) move...it won't move! (me) well put it in drive (her) I did! it won't go! (me) whear are you? (her) in the car! (me) well get out and push! NO SH*T! your in the car, whear is the car??
(at this point she's ticking me off) (her) with the car (me) Whear are you AND the car right now???
(her) At the mall (me) call triple A and I'll come get you (her) do you know whear I'm at? (me) "click"

After that enlightening conversation I get to go stand outside for a 1/2 hour till the wrecker arrives while my family sits in my little "putt putt" wasting my gas to stay warm. My one relative arrives to pick up my family since there is not enough room for us all to ride in the "putt putt" Then I sit in the car to warm up and the tow truck arrives. He loads up the van follows me home, drops the van off the flat bed. And I put the van in drive and pull it up to the house and park it.
My wife at that point is shocked and confused that the van even moved.
I informed her the transmission IS shot but it cooled down enough to move it alittle bit.
Now I have one working vehicle thats stick shift and my wife can't drive stick so I guess she ain't going any whear for awhile. ( I need a beer)
I just wanted to share that phone conversation with you guys, it reminded me of Laurel and Hardy's "Who's on First?" bit.
Hey have a good weekend!
