Recently I formatted my sister's computer - she messed it up, I mean really messed it up, some how it completely reserved our printer on a netgear print server and no one else in the house could connect to it and most of the time she doesn't know what she's doing (sorry, I mean network stuff) - and upgraded her to Windows XP pro from 98B. She connects to the network via a linksys 11Mb/s pci card. She can connect to the network and internet just fine but the computer doesn't seem to want to use or see the DNS server that everyone else in the house uses. She downloads a lot of junk and uses internet explorer even though I've given her the FireFox is better lecture. A found a similar fourm
here but it doesn't have a solution besides restarting which I've tried. She has Norton system works 2003, Microsoft anti spyware beta thing and Zone Alarm but I am still thinking it's a virus (she never updates her deffinitions or scans and uses IE... still).
Any help or suggestions would be great!
