Hey, I'm all one for innovation but with me, the glass is always going to be half-empty as long as I can barely afford this gear.

Kudos to Abit for their ingenuity but it's not something that I'd look into getting.

Well about the noise issue my current setup is enough to drive (me) insane for two reasons Rob.

1st...The chipset with a bump in the voltage idles at 45C, and games around 50C with the fan on high, so for one to cool it properly it needs the high RPM, which as you might wonder has its side effect of a loud fan. Its a high pitched sound too, something that just stands out. Kinda like a raptor hardrive.

2nd...Although I have mentioned this earlier, my GPU touches my northbridge fan. Which just adds fuel to the fire really.

So, having said that, I am all for the new Abit gear. But, having had the Abit Max 3 for almost a year with the "otes" tech, it had a loud fan to that sounded annoying when everything eles was silent, both for the "otes"exhaust fan and the northbridge fan/cooler. Probally one of the reasons Abit is trying this next.

This is just something else to look forward too, but when I ask myself if its needed, the answer is probally no...but then again I don't need a 500 dollar GPU too.
