I sent my ATI 9800 XT back to ATI as it is still in warranty. Very quick service, sent it via USPS on Jan 29, picked it up today from FEDEX Feb 5. Package I received was not the way I had shipped my card to them. I shipped in original cardboard box with two inches of foam to protect video card. I received the card in a bubble wrap bag with one quarter inch of foam on each side. The bracket that attaches to the back of the case was bent and misshapen. The bag or the enclosed cardboard bod don't look damaged. Who is to blame for the damaged card? I did not install card to verify whether it works or not. Do I risk damaging my computer to see if it works? I think not! I am not happy with the end result. I guess e mail and pics will have to be sent to ATI. Should I twist their arm and see what I can get from them? Upgrade etc? Or just be happy with another possibly bad card.
