OK you should have the nutz with the shoulder and threaded rod, go up through the Acrylic top from the cpu side...
Then a nylon washer
a spring
another washer,
the aluminum frame
then another washer
then the thumbnutz...

You tighten the thumbnutz to lift the block away from the CPU,
attach the frame to the socket,
tighten the allen head screws...
unscrew the tumbnutz to lower the block toward the CPU in a criss-cross pattern...

When the block makes contact with the CPU, the thumbscrews should be totally loose...
hint: a small dab of hot glue on the top of the threaded rod will keep the thumbsnutz from backing off and short something should they vibrate off...
