Well, I'm sure some of you noticed (with relief) I haven't been posting as often as I used to. I figured I'd explain why, for no other reason than I want to, and that's cool enough for me.
Number one, and probably my favorite: I now have a girlfriend. Her name is Katie, and we get along really well. It's a good sign when we can talk for hours without pausing, or just sit quiet and be content. I'm hoping things work out with her, but in two months I'll be in wisconsin (Carthage College) and she'll be in southern IL (University of Illinois). It's a great relationship, and I'm hoping to god we can make it through college and still be together. It'd be about a 5 hour drive to visit her, but I would walk to the ends of the earth over broken glass and hot coals barefoot just to be with her. The times I'm alone without her seem like a waking dream, and the only reality is when we're together.
Part two, I graduated from High School today, which is sweet. I managed to survive and passed all my classes senior year even with over 60 absences
It only took an hour and a half for the ceremony, even though 720 kids were graduating. I'll have pictures when I get the chance to steal them from my brother's digicam.
Part three, I thought you guys would like to see my Second Place poem I got published this year, since a lot of you are former soldiers. sorry I didn't type it, i can't find my original so I just scanned the page.
