 Going for 18K in 3DMark......
With the new acquisition of an Athlon XP2400, I have come to realize that I have a very fast processor. Not anything like the Durons I have been using. But one thing has been holding my machine back (well two things) and those are memory and a video card. I have the memory taken care of, two 512MB sticks of Corsair XMS PC2700. But the video card is the on thing I haven't decided on. Right now I'm running stock speeds on a Radeon 9000 64M and was getting 6900 in 3DMark01. Overclocked to 285 / 450 and got 7400. So I need a new video card. Kayin says I should get an FX5700 GDDR3 if I go Nvidia. What do you guys think? Trying to stay under 170 dollars. |
