Its risque, but you could try this...

Throw the thing in water and let it sit for a bit so the stickiness can become liqufied. Then after ample time, take it out and submerge it in a tub of rice, yes rice. The rice will absorb the moisture with the stickiness in it (Hopefully)

Let it sit for a day or two and try it again.
