I expect that from the demo we have only seen a small fraction of what Bioshock hopes to acheive. FPS 2.0, I'm not so sure. Maybe more of a transitional game than anything, a giant leap (or a big daddy step) in the proper direction.

FPS 2.0 I expect will be something more like the newer GTAs (in that there is a lot to do, and so much to do besides the story) mixed with bioshock.

I'd like to see no goals. I'd like a VAST landscape. I'd like to see hundreds of NPCs to interact with, talk to. I'd like a non-linear environment, where you can't just hug the right wall and find your path.

I'd want it to be like you were the one making the decisions. Take Deus Ex... If you want to keep on working for Majestic 12, you should be able to. If you want to just wander around being a peace keeper, you can do that. If you want to be a thug, well, that is certainly an option.

Make a whole world to interact with. You can introduce story through newspapers and television.

Think Majectic... disinformation | majestic: the welcome intruders

I realise that all of this needs to wait for technology... we need no loading screens, and more immersion than a moniter... something a long the lines of the Net Force crap would work.

yes, another ramble from tizakit
