Both monitors are TN panels-- that means lesser colour quality, and narrower viewing angles.

If you intend to use the monitor as a TV, you'll probably do a lot of off-axis viewing, and it will matter. My old monitor was a Samsung 206BW, which is a "good" TN model, and I was still swinging it around to keep it in line. My new one has a PVA panel, and it stays put. I can't reccomend the monitor to you, though, since it lacks HDCP and HDMI ports, and may, indeed, not include a PVA panel in the latest models.
